Our Team
Andrew runs a team of barbers that boast over 30 years of combined experience in the hair industry. The talented squad have been honing their vast talents and have created one of Belfast’s most revered establishments in Quarter West and since 2013 their presence in Northern Ireland's barbering world is undeniably one of the biggest in the country. Having been trained in traditional barbering, ladies hairdressing and modern styles, they have become the go to for many occupying the offices in Belfast City Centre.
The Quarter West team includes Andrew Mearns, Carter Legge, Jason Montgomery, Michael Burns and Rachel Reyna each of whom brings their own personal edge to the Quarter West brand. The salon brings a new and fresh approach to barbering.
Andrew Mearns
Owner/Barber
Andrew started hairdressing back in 2004 and over the years focused his attention to male grooming and barbering, specifically gaining vast experience in the industry. Andrew has a real passion for the job and takes pride in delivering consistent quality haircuts and the best customer service.
Andrew has a real passion for fashion and style, most notably his love of sneakers. He is a family man with a wife and two beautiful children. Andrew is a massive Arsenal FC fan and loves chatting about all things football.
Andrew teamed up with Dan Wild (co-owner) back in 2014 and together the two grew Quarter West barber shop to become one of Belfast's most successful barber shops. Dan fell in love with the tooling side of the industry and so immersed himself in the world of scissors. He quickly became an industry authority on all things scissor related and is revered as one of the top experts in this field today.
Carter
Barber
Carter started barbering in 2021. One of Carter’s strengths would be his scissor work. He’s a very funny guy that has a great rapport with all his clients.
He’s into football and fashion so fits in perfect with the rest of the guys. Carter is a top guy all round and we’re very proud to have him as part of the team.
Rachel
Barber
Rachel is the newest of our barbers at Quarter West. She decided on a career change a few years ago having worked previously in hospitality. Rachel has a very calming presence behind the chair and has developed a very cool style in which she delivers the highest quality cuts and service. Rachel is rapidly starting to grow her own client base which comes as no surprise to us at Quarter West.
Rachel is a very unique person with a love of fashion and style. She is also a big animal lover too.
Jason
Barber
After Andrew, Jason is the longest serving member of the Quarter West team. He started his barbering journey at just 15 years old when he was just a Saturday boy. From here he developed his love for barbering and began his apprenticeship with Andrew and Dan. Over 6 years later he has developed into a fine young barber and has built up a large, very happy client base.
Football, basketball and videogames are some of Jason's passions to name a few. He has a great personality and a friendly way about him which is why he is so popular.
Michael
Barber
Michael started barbering in 2017 and has been with Quarter West since then.
He has developed his skill set rapidly and has the charisma to match. His customer service is second to none and he is one of the friendliest people you can meet. He is quickly becoming one of the most booked out barbers at Quarter West.
Just like the other guys he loves fashion and style but more importantly he loves people. Michael just loves life.
